Top screens provide ventilation in hot weather so the bees hopefully don’t have to work as hard to cool the hive. Best used in conjunction with screened bottom boards. Top screens are also a useful for transporting bees to prevent them from overheating. We use our inner covers in fall & winter and top screens in spring & summer.  Available for 10 Frame, 8 Frame, and 5 Frame (nuc) hives.
