Screened Bottom Board, Assembled
Screened bottom boards offer better ventilation in hot, humid weather which helps with bearding and hive tasks. In cooler months the screen can be closed off with a sheet of corrugated plastic (recycled political signs are great). Screened bottom boards also allow debris to fall through the 1/8″ mesh screen. Debris on bottom boards can lead to small hive beetle breeding grounds. Our screened bottom boards are designed to accommodate small hive beetle traps (sold seperately).
