Our Popular Honey Varieties
Wildflower
Also known as "multifloral" or "mixed floral" honey, Wildflower is often used to describe honey varieties from miscellaneous flower sources. Its color can vary from very light to dark and flavor range from light and fruity to tangy and rich, depending on the mix from the different seasonal wildflowers. Many people believe local, pure honey is beneficial for seasonal allergies. Eversweet Apiaries recommends Wildflower honey because it is derived from the nectar of many types of flowers.

Clover
Clover honey is one of the most widely available and popular honey
varieties. Depending on the location and source, clover honey varies in color from water white to different tones of amber. This classic honey has a pleasingly mild, floral sweetness. A perfect ingredient for light sauces, salad dressings and baking.

Locust
Pleasant tasting honey, aromatic, and ranging from water white to light yellow in color, this honey comes from the black locust tree which flowers in long white racemes. It’s delicious combined with cheeses, especially pecorino and gorgonzola cheese. Because of its light taste, it is good for children and ideal on fresh cheeses (ricotta), yogurt, fruit and ice cream.

Tulip Poplar
The tulip poplar is a magnificent, breathtaking, tall tree with large greenish-yellow flowers. The honey is dark amber in color, however, its flavor is not as strong as one would expect from a dark honey. It has many applications in baking and cooking.
